Alex Rider is shot in his arm by Scorpia. He is in hospital and is recovering. Four masked men enter the hospital to kidnap Paul Drevin, son of Russian billionaire Nikolei Drevin, who is financing a space hotel called "Ark Angel". By the act of saving his son from being kidnapped, Nikolei Drevin invites him to stay with his child Paul Drevin. But, Alex Rider discovers that Nikolei Drevin is cruel. Alex Rider is sent by the CIA the second time to spy on Drevin. There is someone else there sent by CIA too.
